Sharon
Regional's School of Nursing faculty welcomes
Cindy Moran, MSN, BSN
Sharon Regional's School of Nursing recently
welcomed Cindy Moran, MSN, BSN, to its faculty. Moran earned her MSN
in Nursing Education in psychiatric mental health nursing at The University
of Pittsburgh and her BSN from Alderson Broaddus College in West Virginia. She
most recently was a staff nurse for Sharon Regional's Behavioral
Health Services on both the adult and adolescent psychiatric units.
Moran's extensive background includes serving as director of nursing at the
Community Mental Health Center of Beaver County, teaching psychiatric nursing
at two diploma schools of nursing, and being a staff nurse at St. Francis Hospital
in New Castle.
The Sharon Regional School of Nursing, located
on the System's main campus at 740 E. State St., Sharon, PA, has been educating
registered professional nurses since 1899.
Since January 2001, students complete all prerequisite college courses before
admission, making the nursing program 16 months in length. Students are provided
with a wide variety of educational opportunities by Masters-prepared faculty
