March 2003 New Director of Women's Imaging to focus on mammography Adele M. Lipari, D.O., Sharon Regional's new Director of Women's Imaging, is excited about coming to Sharon Regional and enhancing the Health System's mammography and breast care services. "Mammography is my primary goal," Dr. Lipari says. "I will concentrate on providing the highest quality mammography services to all women in the area, including stereotactic breast biopsies, along with expanding Sharon Regional's Breast Care Center." Dr. Lipari, a board certified radiologist, recently joined Regional Imaging Associates, the group that provides medical imaging services to Sharon Regional. She formerly served as Director of Mammography Services for Forum Health in Youngstown. "As a woman, I certainly understand the fears and concerns many women have about mammography, whether it's a screening mammogram or diagnostic mammogram," Dr. Lipari said. "I'm impressed by the technology and level of care here in Sharon Regional's Breast Care Center, and look forward to several enhancements we have planned." One of those enhancements is a new prone Stereotactic Breast Biopsy System that's expected to be installed in March. The system features the newest in digital imaging technology along with a number of other advanced features. "Our new stereotactic breast biopsy unit, coupled with our ImageChecker computer-aided mammogram detection system and other components of our Breast Care Center truly offer women in this area the most advanced breast care services available," Dr. Lipari adds.
