Sharon Regional.com now offering new health information service

Sharon Regional Health System is now offering LaurusHealth.com, an innovative health information resource designed to help those in the region make more informed choices about their health. LaurusHealth provides consumers with access to reliable, easy-to-understand health information and local health resources. The information is available free of charge 24-hours a day via the SRHS Web site at www.sharonregional.com. Visitors to the Sharon Regional site need to simply click on the LaurusHealth icon that appears on each page to access the site.

"Today's consumers are definitely more involved in the decisions affecting the care that they and their families receive," said Wayne Johnston, president and CEO of Sharon Regional. "Through LaurusHealth, consumers can learn more about specific medical conditions, symptoms, treatment options and medications. I'm very pleased with the high quality and ease of use of the LaurusHealth site, and am happy we could bring this service to area residents through the Sharon Regional web site."

LaurusHealth offers consumers a wealth of information on illnesses and conditions, tips for healthy living, medical tests, prescription and over-the-counter drugs, medical advancements and more. LaurusHealth was developed after more than 2 ½ years of research.
