Surgeon joins Sharon Regional medical staff

Randall Hofius, D.O., general surgeon, recently joined the medical staff at Sharon Regional. Dr. Hofius is with Hofius Surgical, Inc., 217 North Jefferson St., New Castle, where he has been on staff at both St. Francis and Jameson hospitals.

Dr. Hofius specializes in general surgery along with laparoscopic surgical procedures. He received his medical education from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri and served a general surgical residency at Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and an Adjunct Professor of Surgery at LECOM in Erie.

Dr. Hofius was born and raised in the Shenango Valley and graduated from Kennedy Catholic High School.
