Susan J. Gibson appointed vice president at Sharon Regional
Sharon Regional Health System recently appointed Susan J. Gibson vice president
for patient care services. Gibson will serve as assistant vice president during
the next few months of transition working with Pat Hillebrand, current vice
president for patient care services.
Gibson brings many successful projects to the position including a 100 percent
score on the most recent Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations
(JCAHO) survey of Sharon Regional's Home Health/Hospice programs, computerization
of the Home Health/Hospice departments, and oversight of the development of
the Advanced Wound Recovery Center in Hermitage.
In her 14 years of progressive health care leadership, including the past four
at Sharon Regional, Gibson has worked in emergency room and oncology nursing
as well as directing Home Health/Hospice. She attended Jameson Hospital School
of Nursing, earned her BSN from Slippery Rock University and will earn her MBA
this year from Waynesburg College.
Sharon Regional is Mercer County's largest hospital and health care system.
In addition to its main campus in Sharon, the Health System has 20 satellite
locations throughout Sharon, Hermitage, Farrell, Mercer, West Middlesex, Greenville,
and Brookfield, Ohio.
