Ashraf Osman, M.D., Cardiovascular, Lung, and Vascular Surgeon, joins medical staff

Maryann Payne, M.D., cardiovascular surgeon and director of the Cardiovascular Unit at Sharon Regional is pleased to welcome her new associate Ashraf Osman, M.D., Cardiovascular, Lung, and Vascular Surgeon. Dr. Osman specializes in: heart bypass surgery; valve replacements; carotid endarterectomy; aortic aneurysm; lung and chest surgery; surgery of the arteries and veins; and other advanced heart, lung, and vascular surgery.

Both Dr. Payne and Dr. Osman are members of the world-renowned Cardio-Thoracic Surgical Associates (formerly the Magovern Group).

Dr. Osman comes to Sharon Regional after serving as Chief Resident in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He served a General Surgery residency at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and has additional Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship training from Boston University Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Dr. Osman is Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Board Certified in General Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American College of Cardiology, American College of Surgeons, American College of Chest Physicians, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and a number of other medical and professional organizations. He resides in Hermitage.
