Donald Keenan, M.D., PhD., breast surgeon, joins Sharon Regional

            Donald Keenan, M.D., PhD., board certified surgeon specializing in breast surgery, recently joined Sharon Regional. He spent the past seven years as a dedicated breast surgeon at UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital and UPMC Presbyterian, where he performed more than 1,500 breast surgery procedures.

            Dr. Keenan received his medical education from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed a residency in general surgery from University Hospitals of Cleveland-Case Western University School of Medicine. He earned a PhD., in Physiology and Biophysics from Case Western Reserve University.

            Dr. Keenan will see patients in Sharon Regional’s Breast Care Center, located in the Diagnostic & Imaging Center, 2435 Garden Way, Hermitage. He specializes in breast cancer surgery, benign breast disease, lumpectomy, partial mastectomy, modified radical mastectomy, and consultations for breast cancer risk assessment.
