ADHERE, the Acute Decompensated Heart Failure National Registry, is a joint venture between Sharon Regional's Emergency Care Center and Heart Institute. The Registry will create a unique national database of information on tens of thousands of CHF patients gathered from more than 200 U.S. hospitals over the next several years. "This is an excellent project that will assist us in monitoring and improving the care of acute decompensation of CHF," stated Sergio Segarrra, M.D., director of emergency medicine who is overseeing the project along with cardiologist James P. Landis, Jr., M.D. "The ADHERE registry is working with top hospitals in the country in cardiac care and we're honored to have been chosen to participate."
