graduate from Sharon Regional's School of Nursing
Twenty-four students graduated Friday evening May 6 from Sharon Regional
Health System's School of Nursing during ceremonies at Sharon High School.
Jennifer O'Rourke, of Sharon, earned the Nursing Proficiency Award,
which the faculty presents to the student who best exemplifies attributes
needed to be a competent and caring clinical practitioner.
Other graduates were: Jill L. Allen, Sean P. Dent, and Melanie A. Mintus,
of Brookfield; Diane M. Andrusky and Thomas Wiesen, Jr., of Hermitage; Ruth
E. Beel, of Fredonia; Kathy E. Chavara and Jenna M. Krajci, of Sharpsville;
Cesar R. Corzantes and Krysta R. Webb, of Hubbard; Laurie A. Daugherty,
Renee M. McCoy, and Jill M. Philson, of Mercer; Sheri L. Fugate, Andrea
S. Heck, Cheryl C. Psimer, and Jennifer L. Klink, of Greenville; Angela
C. Huggins; of Youngstown, Ohio; Lori A. Kimball, of Grove City; Ashlee
M. Lumley, of Hadley; Pamela S. Rodondi, of Sharon; Craig A. Walters, of
Burghill, Ohio; and Joseph Restino, of New Castle.
George C. Garrow, M.D., director of medical oncology at Sharon Regional's
Cancer Care Center, gave the graduation address. James Feeney, chairman
of the Health System board of directors, presented diplomas.
Nora Bennett, MSN, RN, director of the School of Nursing presented pins,
and Sherry Greenburg, MSN, RN, assistant director of the school, presented
the proficiency award and honor cords.
Joan McGinley, MSN, RN(C), a school instructor, read students' personal
notes of thanks. John Davidson, vice president of human resources, was master
of ceremonies.
Kellee Cardamon and Ron Gracilla provided music.
