May 8, 2006 33 graduate from Sharon Regional's School of Nursing Thirty-three students graduated Friday evening May 5 from Sharon Regional Health System's School of Nursing during ceremonies at Sharon High School. Sandra J. Neal, of Sharon, earned the Nursing Proficiency Award, which the faculty presents to the student who best exemplifies attributes needed to be a competent and caring clinical practitioner. Other graduates were: Pauline Carroll, Raymond Coonce, II, Amber George, David Hudspath, and James McCoy, Sr., of Sharon; Kristin Young, Andrea Yuran, Shirley Shirley, Kristin Weinel, and Sheila Jewell, of Hermitage; Debbie Wilson and Susan Frantz, of Sharpsville; Salle' Rudolph, of Farrell; Gerald Winemiller, of West Middlesex; Jennifer Narlee, of Mercer; Kimberly Klink-Furey, Kimberly Guriel, and Sarah Webster Mull, of Greenville; Cassandra Pridemore, of Slippery Rock; Vicki Miller, of Transfer; Kristen McCurdy and Erin Hammer, of New Wilmington; and Jamie George, of New Castle. Graduates from Ohio were: Jessica Robinson and Candice Rush, of Youngstown; Sonya Fenn and Kristie Miller, of Cortland; Jessica Majetich and Tara Mott, of Masury; Heather Deluga, of McDonald; Karey Gibson, of Brookfield; and Stephanie Maiorca-Notman, of Hubbard. Tammy Goda, MSN, RN, CRNP, nurse practitioner for Cardio & Vascular Surgical Services at Sharon Regional, gave the graduation address. James Feeney, chairman of the Health System board of directors, presented diplomas. Nora Bennett, MSN, RN, director of the School of Nursing, presented pins, and Sherry Greenburg, MSN, RN, assistant director of the school, presented the proficiency award and honor cords. Mary Campbell, MSN, M.Ed., RN, a school instructor, read students' personal notes of thanks. John Davidson, vice president of human resources, was master of ceremonies. Mary Messina and Nancy Reeher provided music. |
