Volunteers honored at brunch
Sharon Regional recognized numerous volunteers for their countless hours of service to the Health System recently at an annual awards brunch. Diane Johnston received the Janet L. Patterson Award for Volunteer of the Year, which exemplifies the enthusiasm, service, and dedication to the volunteer program at Sharon Regional. Diane, of Hermitage, started volunteering at the Health System in 1981 and has given more than 7,500 hours of service.
Debbie Garrett, hospice coordinator, presented Hospice Volunteer Service awards to Hazel Howell, 15 years, and Grant “Bud” Nier, 5 years. Ruthetta Steele, auxiliary hours chairman, and Jo McMath, auxiliary membership chairman, presented auxiliary hours awards.
