Visitors
Sharon Regional believes visitors are integral to the physical and emotional well-being of our patients. We understand the importance of family and friends and encourage their support.
We want everyone to be completely satisfied at Sharon Regional. If anyone has any concerns about any aspect of a hospital stay, please contact our Gold Care Line at 724-983-7373 or ask to speak to a patient care manager.
Advance Directives
Patient rights at Sharon Regional include the right to make decisions about the use of life-sustaining treatment. An advance directive or living will is the patient's opportunity to make their wishes known. The patient can also appoint a family member or friend to be their health care power of attorney to carry out their wishes and make decisions for them when the patient isn't able.
Sharon Regional Health System will recognize and comply with any valid advance directive. If the patient already has a directive prepared, please provide it to your physician or a nurse. If not, the patient can prepare a living will and health care power of attorney using forms from the Pennsylvania Department of Aging using the following link:

Or, the patient can get an advance directives form from a nurse during their Sharon Regional stay.
This living will is not required to forgo or withhold life-sustaining treatment or cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). But it is helpful for the patient's health care providers and family and friends to have made their wishes known in advance.
For this reason, Sharon Regional encourages everyone to prepare a living will.

At Your Request®---Patient Dining
Sharon Regional offers At Your Request - Room Service Dining®, which is the leading health care room service program in North America. This is very different than the conventional method of food services found in most hospitals, it is very similar to hotel room service, but with a clinical advantage. Our pledge is to provide you and your family with the quality service you deserve.
Meal service is continuously provided throughout the day from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m with patients placing their own meal orders via telephone by dialing SERV (7378) from their room. A room service associate will take their order, and within 45 minutes their food will be personally delivered to their room. Patients make their own decisions for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks at any time from a menu of extensive selections. They order what they want, when they want it.
Through a sophisticated computer order system, the dieticians and trained technicians receiving the orders take provisions for special or restricted diets into account. As a result, a patient will not receive something they should not eat due to diet or medication restrictions and simultaneously become educated to what often times is their new dietary guidelines to maintain and improve their health.
Guest trays are available for visitors and families. Our room service associate can assist you with pricing and ordering information.
Our Clinical Nutrition Staff of professionals provides sound nutritional advice for our inpatients as well as the community. Inpatient services include nutritional risk screening, in-depth nutrition assessment and consultation. Nutritional counseling is offered on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
