Program Goals

I. Program Effectiveness Goals:

  1. The program will graduate qualified entry-level radiographers.

II. Student Effectiveness Goals:

  1. At the end of the program the students will be able to demonstrate competence as an entry-level radiographer.
  2. At the end of the program the students will be able to apply appropriate communication skills.
  3. At the end of the program the students will be able to apply the use of critical thinking and problem solving skills within the clinical setting.
  4. At the end of the program the students will be able to determine the value for professional growth and life long learning practice.

Program Assesment Plan

I. Program Effectiveness:

The program will graduate qualified entry level radiographers:

  1. Students will complete the program within 24 months
  2. Students will pass the ARRT national certification on their first attempt
  3. Of those Graduates pursuing employment, they will be gainfully employed within six months post graduation
  4. Students are satisfied with their overall program of education
  5. Employers will be satisfied with their graduate’s overall performance

II. Student Effectiveness:

1. At the end of the program the students will be able to demonstrate competence as an entry level radiographer:

  1. Students will be able to apply appropriate radiation protection practices in the clinical setting.
  2. Students will be able to demonstrate appropriate patient care and safety.

2. At the end of the program the students will be able to apply appropriate communication skills:

  1. Students will be able to demonstrate appropriate communication skills in the Healthcare setting.
  2. Students will be able to demonstrate age appropriate oral communication skills.

3. At the end of the program the students will be able to apply the use of critical thinking and problem solving skills within the clinical setting:

  1. Students will be able to apply appropriate factors to account for differing body habitus and patient conditions
  2. Students will be able to appropriately evaluate radiographic images for quality and positioning.

4. At the end of the program the students will be able to determine the value for professional growth and life long learning practice:

  1. Students will be able to summarize the benefits of being an active member of the Radiology field for Professional Growth.
  2. Students will be able to discuss the importance of continued life long learning.
