Sleep Medicine Center Opens

Sharon Regional has completed construction of its new Sleep Medicine Center and is now scheduling patients. The new Center, located directly across from the hospital at 719 East State Street, second floor, offers area residents access to the most advanced sleep study technology available.


















The new Sleep Medicine Center provides services to individuals who suffer from sleep apnea, snoring, morning headaches, restless sleep, or other sleep-related disorders. The Center features four private sleep study suites, complete with Select Comfort Sleep Number beds, private bathrooms, flat screen TVs, and other amenities, along with the newest in computerized polysomnography (sleep study) equipment from SensorMedics.

Samer Makhoul, M.D., Mercer County’s only board certified sleep medicine specialist, along with a team of registered sleep medicine technologists, works closely with referring physicians to develop a rapid and effective diagnosis and treatment plan for individuals suffering from sleep disorders.

The new Center replaces Sharon Regional’s former sleep study program that was located at its Cancer Care Center in Hermitage.
