This ultramodern center has more than doubled in size and offers highly specialized
areas for the treatment of virtually every type of emergency situation. Special
areas include trauma rooms, chest pain rooms (Mercer County's only facility
for advanced heart attack care), an isolation room and the County's only hazardous
materials decontamination room.
There also are specialized treatment rooms for
orthopedic patients and women with gynecological problems. Equipped with the
latest high-tech equipment, chest pain/stroke centers, and Express Care Center, the Emergency Care Center brings together
a team of emergency professionals not typically found in basic hospital emergency
rooms.
