needsSharon Regional Health System's Behavioral Health Services offers a full spectrum of mental health and substance abuse care to the residents of Mercer County and surrounding regions. From a multi-million dollar outpatient center to inpatient programs for children, adolescents and adults, Behavioral Health offers the most comprehensive selection of behavioral health services between Pittsburgh and Erie.  Psychiatrists, including board certified child and adolescent, and adult psychiatrists, provide the expertise and leadership for direct care for patients along with a team of highly qualified licensed psychologists, social workers and mental health and substance abuse professionals. Sharon Regional completed a major expansion project in Hermitage for Behavioral Health that is designed to enhance the programs and physical environment for the care of children, adolescents, adults and geriatric clients in need of mental health or substance abuse services. The Behavioral Health Outpatient Center is a state-of-the-art, $2 million, 17,300 square-foot facility located at 2375 Garden Way, off North Kerrwood Drive. The facility includes interview and therapy rooms, conference areas, a playground area for children, psychiatrist's offices and administrative and staff offices. Services based in the center are Kite Strings, Pathfinders, Passages, Connections Autism Institute, Employee Assistance Program, Wraparound, Clozapine Clinic and New Directions Adult Chemical Dependency Program.  Sharon Regional is very excited about its facility and the opportunity to provide comprehensive treatment to children, adolescents, adults and seniors experiencing behavioral health problems. The center also expands Sharon Regional's ability to be a community resource and educational outlet on behavioral health issues. Along with the new outpatient center, Behavioral Health Services has satellite offices located at the Mercer Family Medicine Center, 551 Greenville Road, Mercer, the Greenville Behavioral Health Center, 348 Main St., Greenville, plus the services provided in the hospital of Sharon Regional. |
