Patients with trauma, chest pain, stroke and other serious illnesses can be treated at our expanded Emergency Care Center. Sharon Regional Health System offers Mercer County's only advanced care for heart attacks.
Our Emergency Care Center is specially equipped to diagnose and rapidly treat patients with a suspected heart attack. A team of highly specialized doctors, nurses and technologists are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond at a moment's notice. When a patient arrives at our Emergency Care Center having a heart attack, this special team is activated and arrives quickly to open the blocked artery that is causing the heart attack. Our Emergency Care Center also features specialized treatment rooms for orthopedic patients and women with gynecological problems. Those who suffer from a variety of behavioral health problems can also be evaluated in the Emergency Care Center and linked to a vast array of services that aid in management of their problems.
Sharon Regional Health System's model of care delivery within the ER is known as PhysicianFirst, which places the physician at the beginning of the emergency care treatment process, resulting in significant improvements in patient care, safety and satisfaction.
